FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I do in the event of an accident?
First and foremost, check to make sure everyone is okay. If you suspect anyone is injured you should contact 911 immediately. If it is a minor accident you can call us right away! For more information on accidents visit our "Accidents & Towaways" page. 


What information will I need to provide for a tow call?
In most cases we will ask for the following information:
- Year, Make, Model, and Color of your vehicle
- Location of your vehicle
- The service you are interested in
- The location where your vehicle is going
- Your name and a good contact phone number
This information may be stored on receipts within our office but will not be publicly shared.



What should I keep in my car in case of emergencies?
We love this question! Having an emergency kit available is very important in the event of a breakdown as well as making sure it is available at anytime. We strongly encourage customers to keep these items within their vehicle:
- Flares, traffic cones, or traffic triangles
- A spare set of jumper cables
- A universal tire wrench and jack (if possible)
- A flashlight with batteries
- A 10mm wrench
(These are items we will have on the trucks, but could help you avoid the extra cost all together!)

For yourself you should keep:
- Some high calorie, non perishable snacks
- Bottled water
- Extra clothes for all seasons (summer clothes, layers for winter, extra socks, etc.)
- Some people like having blankets available
- Phone chargers (if possible)
- A small pack of hygiene products (like toothpaste, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, etc) 



How much do your services cost?
Our services are individually priced on each call. Please call us for a price and time estimate!


Can my insurance company pay for a call after I've contacted you?
In most cases, yes! Insurance companies usually accept receipts from our company which allow them to reimburse you after you've paid for the call. This can sometimes be a long and frustrating process so we recommend calling your insurance company beforehand. 


What areas do you provide service to?
Our company has several locations but majorly services Tompkins County. We complete calls in
- Ithaca
- Cortland
- Trumansburg
- Enfield
- Newfield
- Lansing
- and more!



What services do your shops offer?
Our shops provide anything from oil changes to full engine replacements! We complete anything mechanical. The only services we do not offer are body repair and painting. 


Why can tow services vary in time so much?
We try to provide timely and efficient services in all aspects! Unfortunately, due to our call volume and how we complete calls, time can vary. We complete calls in the order that they come in unless we've received a car accident. In that case, we must prioritize accidents so that roadways can maintain clear and operable. When scheduling a call with us we will always try to provide as accurate as a time estimate as we can but please know they may change!
